Untuk acara penganugrahan tersebut akan disiarkan langsung dari Hollywood's Dolby Theatre di ABC, pada Minggu, 27 Maret 2022. The Power of the Dog mendapatkan 12 nominasi, termasuk untuk pasangan asli Kirsten Dunst dan Jesse Plemons yang berperan sebagai suami dan istri dalam drama tersebut. Dune, film epik sci-fi yang dibintangi oleh Timothee Chalamet, mendapatkan 10 nominasi, sementara Belfast dan West Side Story mendapat tujuh nominasi.
